Things will change!

Hmmm..... Time and again I look around me and everythings the same, corrupt politicians, terrorism, violence, poverty, unemployment, racism, hatred ...... everythings the same and maybe thats why people have become immune to it. Every now and then people remember it and remark how sad things have got around but thats it.... nothing more. We hear things that the youth can bring in a change, we have the power, then where is it? We vote, even if it means choosing one among the lesser evils, we pay our taxes, we keep updated, once in a while we read a few articles in newspapers as to what we can do, or maybe someone has taken things in his hands and done something, started a new revolt, but thats it! Khatam ! We can never change
the ships course by being a by stander, we have to wet our feet in order to bring some change. They say we have to take active interest in politics, join the police force, ips, ias, make a change from the inside. Then does that mean that all the youth should do is come into such fields, well no but some who really feel for it should. I'm fed up of reading about politicians being raided n their assests coming upto crores when people are dying everywhere ...... We do need a change,
a friend had answered me once when i had questioned her, tell me what to do and I'll do it, maybe its time we start seeking answers to these questions. How can things change? Still holding onto my faith that things will change I'll wait for your answers.
sorry !
Heres a toast to new beginnings, Cheers

God plays strange games
You sometimes feel that you have everything in this world. Everything you ever wanted and are so so happy with your life. Well people if you haven't felt it then start living your life and start appreciating things for goodness sake! Well where was I , ya so you are so happy then a few days later there comes this stupid wish in your head. Now even though you know its next to impossible you still want it. Right , but you know you can't have it! So what do you do. You try to force it out of your head. Avoid the topic, keep yourself so busy that you don't find time for anything else but still when you sleep at night you tend to think about it, you start maybe dreaming about it. Now what do you do? Nothing you can't let people know that you are upset right, so you put up this brave funny front in front of everyone. You laugh, you crack jokes, you help people, you do everything that you usually do, but now you feel a void within you, you are incomplete without your wish. You do have to realise that its not related to work that you work and you'll get the results. Theres a certain thing called destiny which is working against you now, so whats the solution? Beats me! I don't know. If I do come to know I'll let you know, till then, all the best!
Just think about this for a second....

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track. The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way? Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make................ .. .... ..Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. You might think the same way, I guess. Exactly, I thought the same way initially because to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally. But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place? Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him. The great critic Leo Velski Julian who told the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens. If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids. While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be the right one.

AVALANCHE ' 07....what an experience!
How do you express the feeling when you are all happy, satisfied, proud, humbled, over whelmed all at the same time. This is some of the exact feelings that I felt when Avalanche'07 officially ended today. Just thinking the number of classes and labs that I have missed for this one event reminds me of how much I must be lagging in my studies. But it does'nt matter coz I am always lagging because one or the other thing.
What i remember most is all the running about that we did. All the typing work, my situation now is such that anyday that I decide to resign from my job I have enough experience as a stenographer or a secretary and i'll be back on my feet. One thing that I feel the nicestthing was that all the ppl in various committees helped each other out. I myself remember working for almost all the committees( except transportation i guess!) . Being with my friend who was in technical I have run across our campus so many times that i can run with my eyes closed around our campus.
I am a part of the souvenir committee , one the most hectic of the lot as our work depends on almost all of the other committees. We had to come up with guest messages, the avalanche magazine, cd, souvenir kit, avalanche T-shirt etc. the magazine and the cd gave us some hiccups but it was all sorted. All of us were so proud and were showing off our white AVALANCHE ' 07 T-shirts to everyone on the second day.
more story contd..
What to do when dreams are crushed?
Everybody dreams of something. My first dream was to become an astronaut that was when I was in 3rd or 4th. Then I wanted to ...well I better not tell that coz it still hurts a little because its ok if u try n are unsuccessful but not being allowed to even talk about it leave try for it is painful. Anyways as I was saying everybody has some dreams. My latest dream was to become an engineer n I am almost one (well not in the true sense still maybe! but still !).So what happens when your dreams come crashing down, one way is to work even harder, put in all your efforts n give it another push, or else mop around each day of your life cursing God for always targeting u, n not loving u enough (I know this option is a lot easier than the previous but its plain stupidity).
So people who have loved your dreams and lost always remember you can treasure your dreams for life, but remember don’t bound yourself too tight because you are free to dream new dreams!
